• So i used the new plugin update feature in my 2.5.1 installation to update BM Custom Login to the latest version (1.3) from 1.2 and for some reason it didn’t work (might have been that my folders werent all 777 and not sure if i had the upgrade folder at the time). I then tried to delete the plugin so i could do a manual upgrade of the bm-custom-login plugin but then i didn’t have permissions to do so! I had to talk to support at my hosting company to fix this. They said it was an issue with some php script that had created it on installation. I’m wondering if this is a bug in WordPress or the bm-custom-login. I think from assessing the situation that its a problem with plugin however i this is the only plugin that ive had problems with. Have you come accross this Ben or anyone else? Btw AWESOME plugin Ben!! Love it.

So ive replicated the problem again, it turns out even if you chmod the /upgrade folder to 777 and the plugin folder and all subsequent subdirectory to 777, and it DOES update the problem still occurs. If you try to delete the plugin folder you cannot. Anyone else experiencing this?
Best way to test it, if you upgrade the plugin via wordpress’s autoplugin update feature of course, is to try and delete this plugin via ftp and see if it lets you.

    same problem here
