Great plugin - I use it across many of my sites. One problem I do have, and you may already have a remedy for this, is that Authors and other lower level users can edit the security settings.

I think that only administrators should be able to edit the settings as it impacts the website itself and/or may cause issues if a known feature seems to break other plugins or themes. I use some capability related plugins, such as adminimize, to choose what is displayed in the WordPress administration; however, even that can't hide the betterwpsecurity's control panel from lower levels.

  2. Are you using some sort of plugin to edit users rights? By default only administrators have access.

Yes, I'm realizing that now. Instead of using a functions.php theme file - I just use a custom plugin to apply customizations and that was causing trouble. Thanks
