    Hi Chris
First of all I would like to thank you for writing this awesome plugin...

Secondly I would like to ask a quick question...

There is a folder(with php files) in my web directory along with wordpress, and I would like the htaccess file to allow access to that folder files.

Presently if i try to access the directory files it gives me a 404 page error.

So if you could tell me what piece of code i could insert in the htaccess file that allows to the folder which is called "friend"

  2. Are you trying to allow directory browsing in that folder or are you trying to directly access a file?

I m trying to directly access a file in that folder called "friend"

  4. Interesting. so you're going to http://yoursite.com/friend/file? This is not an operation that should be affected by anything in Better WP Security. You can try removing the Better WP Security section from your .htaccess to confirm.

Yes i m trying to go to http://yoursite.com/friend/file.php

Okay Chris so I removed the Better WP Security section from the .htaccess file and tested it...still i was facing the same problem...

so you are right that its not issue of the plugin ...

But if its not too much may i ask for your guidance in resolving the issue...

    as i noticed that accessing a http://yoursite.com/friend/file.png
file is okay .... but accessing a http://yoursite.com/friend/file.php gives a 404 error page from wordpress. so what do u think is causing the difference between a .php file and a .png file

  6. Is there something in your file that could be causing the redirect? Perhaps a location statement?
