How about monitoring http://site1.com instead of http://multisite.com/, I mean two separate domains? http://site1.com is your ‘desired’ domain anyway.

Sorry, I should have replaced the first “mydomain.com” with “site1.com.” Do that, and you’ll see what I was meaning. However, I was monitoring the “desired” domain, and I realized that the sitemap IS there, but just doesn’t show up because of the stylesheet. Google does actually see it just fine.

Do you have any recommendations for subdomain vs. subfolder multisite? I currently use subfolder, but can’t remember why I picked one over the other…

Yes you can just disable the style sheet, it is simply there to make your sitemap look fancy, nothing more :).

About the ‘subdomain vs subfolder’ issue, since you are using domain mapping already, I think either is fine for you, at least in terms of compatibility with BWP GXS.
