   latest version 2.2 changelog says "Fixed an issue where the link target setting was not working."

   mine is not working, appears in html source as target=""

   Check version 2.3 and see if it fixes the issue. I cannot recreate this not working as it works on all sites I am using. If 2.3 does not fix the issue please let me know the version of WordPress you are using and the operating system your site is hosted on.
