I am using Canvas WooCommerce child theme. The link in the email for moderation comes up with '404 Page not found' error. I can not even view the topic or reply in the Topics list or Replies list. A bubble number of unapproved topics and replies show, but no way to change it. I am running the most current version of everything.

That's a known issue, because bbPress ignores Pending topics and gives you the 404
For now you'll have to go to the Topic or Reply list and select each topic/reply marked as Pending - edit them and change the status to Published. Alternatively delete the bad ones.
You can use the Bulk Edit features to make it quicker.
