Per my last post, if you can transfer historical comments, it would be awesome if you could add the code to update the comment count. The Ninja plug-in to fix the comment count doesn't seem to work anymore for some reason.

I don't understand. The comment count is just the reply count, right? Or do you mean something else?
I don't know what the "Ninja plug-in" is, either. Can you provide a link?

That wasn't clear. I don't know why but my comment count is out of sync. In other words, posts with 15 comments show 2.
I've used your new batch function to generate a topic against each post and I've manually transferred many of the comments across by checking the option on the edit-post form.
I have two requests. (1) a way to automatically transfer comments to the associated topic for each post and (2) a re-calibration of the comment count at the same time!
