I have set bbpres-topics-post as the default for comments in the Settings>Discussion area. However, it enters a post twice in the default topic. Do I need to de-select the Allow Comments selection or some other setting to make it post only once?

Correction: I used incorrect terms in previous post. Posts now generate two topics in the default forum.

No other settings are required. The plugin overrides display of the comments list and form, so other comments settings are out of play, unless your theme is doing something really strange.

Can you provide any more details on your setup? I am unable to reproduce this issue on WP 3.3, bbP 2.0.2, and version 0.7 of the plugin.

    Dean,
Sorry abut not getting back to this sooner. January was a very hectic month.

I'm running WP 3.3.1, bbP 2.0.2, your plugin - bbP topics for posts 1.0. I'm using the latest version of the Atahualpa theme with the default templates of the bbPress plugin.

Here's the link to the forum in question. I usually go in and delete one copy of the topic from a post, but I've left the two posts for the NeverDead review so you can see what I'm dealing with. I'm thinking this may be a template issue, but have yet to confirm that thought.

It's possible that it's a template issue, but it sure looked like two different topics with different slugs, and I'm not sure how that's happening.

Is there anything unusual about your post workflow? Any other plugins involved there, e.g. for scheduling or syndication?

No scheduling or syndication one. I tried deactivating all other plugins to test which might be interfering, but it still double posted with all other plugins off.

I've turned off the bbpress plugin for now. It will likely stay that way until I can either get time to dig into it further or find someone who know more about integrating it into the theme we use.

I'm sorry we couldn't get this worked out. Please let me know if you uncover anything in the future.

And I'll update this thread if I get any other reports of double posting or run into anything.
