    BackWPUpVersion 2.1.15

Migrated to new VPS server and attempted to manually "Run Now" of backups. Jobs eventually appear to have completed with no errors but the log is empty and there is no backup file. Error displayed is:
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=backwpupworking&action=runnow&jobid=1&_wpnonce=2e3fe9f906. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

I migrated using BackWPup files over a clean WP install. I thought I cleaned up permissions folder/file ownerships even tried a vanilla install of backWPup and using apache:apache ownership of plugin and still get the error.

Here are the error log entries:

This issue is marked "resolved", but there is no solution mentioned here. Care to share the solution? I encounter the same problem.

I was able to solve this problem by changing the file permissions for the tmp, logs and backup folder to 777. However, security-wise this is not a good solution, so I'll have to look into that a little more.
