I'm not able to download the backup file created by the plugin. AFter clicking on the download link I see:
This error message is generated when the web server is trying to access a file that does not exist or has been configured incorrectly
Ensure that you have a valid home page defined in your website directory (example: /htdocs/index.html, /htdocs/index.php). On Unix, this is case sensitive and must be all lower case.
In your Account Manager, under Hosting Tools, click to .Reset File Permissions..
If you need help resetting file permissions, click here: http://www.networksolutions.com/support/resetting-file-permissions/
This tells me there may be a permission issue. The trouble with my customer's account type is that he has no access to FTP, or a File Manager. The customer literally bought a square wheel.
The plugin installed OK. A backup file of some 56MB was created on schedule and appears for download. If you try to right click and save as a file by the ZIP name doanloads but it is a 1K corrupted file.
The customer has no access to wp-config.php. Only files editable and writeable by some plugins can be changed.
The critical thing for me is to be able to protect a year's worth of work.
Is there anything you know of that can be done to get a backup to download? I'm assuming this isn't a plugin problem but I'm hoping you may have faced this before and have an idea or two.
