Try de-activating and re-activating the plugin to force the schedule to be re-setup.

Could you try version 2.0.5, it’s just been released so you may have to wait 10 min or so for the update to show up.
I tried it and after update I got the following:

Plugin reactivated successfully.
The problem still persists.
Apologies for the warning on update, I fixed that in 2.0.6.
Do you only get double backups for scheduled backups or do you get them for manual ones as well?
I got double backup for both the options.
Tried deactivating then reactivating, but no improvement.
However, I am happy, it works great.
