   We are using WP 3.2 with a multisite installation. Browsed through the forum in similiar topics, but I can't find a solution.

   When I run the backup it generates a very small sql file (473B)
   Inside the file, all there is:

   If I choose to back up database & files the files are all correctly backed up, but the db (.sql) still shows nothing.
   What am I missing here?

   Same Here!

   Only standard installation of WP.

   Anyone any idea?

   I've just released version 1.5, could you re-run the back up and see if the issue is resolved.

   Still doesnt work. AND... in addition... it doesnt save the FILES anymore even if "data + files" is selected....

   Righto, could you email me at support@humanmade.co.uk, it sounds like there is some specific issue with your setup.

   I was having the same issue with Version 1.5. Updated to Version 1.6.4 and now I can see the SQL file.

   Good to hear 1.6.4 resolved your issue.

   pad_morita & hano, have you tried 1.6.4?

   Yes tried.

   This is what happens:

   DATABASE
   i have 3 databases under localhost, same user.

   db_1 --> used by other site
   db_2 --> used by other site
   db_3 --> used by wordpress --> size: 300kb --> this is what i need
   -----------
   Size alltogether: round 7 MB

   Backupwordpress's Database File's Size -> round 7 MB ? way too much...?

   FILES

   Starts zipping ("creating zip archive").
   On Server file named "running_backup" or something is created, but nothing else happens. No Temporary File growing, nothing... Files worked up to 1.4.1 -> since then, no files.

   --> no error log btw. If i "Cancel", the "running_backup" file dissapears.

   Thanks for the reply Tom.

   You had a serious bug it seems. Failing to backup for 'backup' plugin is dead serious. I will be checking the contents of the zip files for a while.

   I must say though, my confidence in your plugin is seriously diminished.

    It's likely something to do with your server setup, the plugin works well for the vast majority of users, unfortunately it's impossible to predict and account for all the various server setups that exist.

    Do you have any errors in your php_error log that would indicate why the backup is failing? Where abouts are you hosting the site?

    I would be happy to debug the issue more deeply but to do so I would need wp-admin and FTP access (feel free to email those to support@humanmade.co.uk.

    Just for your info, -since I started this post and couldn´t get it to work, I tried another plugin, (Xcloner) that works for me.
