How can I apply a specific image to the Posts landing page when I select it in the Settings -> Reading page? It does exist as a page, but it gets ignored because I have selected it as my default posts page.

Hi! This is a known bug, reported here, which will be fixed in the next release. I do apologise :(

Actually what I'd like to do is specify what image to use on the posts landing page. For that matter - other non "page" pages would be great to be able to specify as well. I have an archives page and a custom category page (news) that I'd really like to target.

Great plug in though. Good job.

The Category page can be targeted from with an Image Set, using the "Override by Category" option - however, this also overrides all posts within that category.

I'll look into adding the option for backgrounds to specific other pages as well (is, error page, search page, etc). But that may come after this upcoming release.

Sorry, no. The custom category page can not be targeted because the categories (or taxonomies) that I created are custom and do not show up with the standard post categories.

I see! The next version supports custom taxonomies as categories, provided they start with "categor" (still up for change). This was to provide support for WP E-Commerce. If you wish, you can download that development version from WordPress (see "Other Downloads") option.

Almost - If I could select what image to use on the custom category landing page - it's kind of like when you select a page to be your blog landing page. The summary of all of my news articles are on this page, but I can't select what background to use on that page.

However, when I click to view the details of an article, it's showing the correct background based on custom taxonomy. So that's cool.

Perhaps something to consider for the next version.

    Keep up the awesome work.

Hi, I was wondering if the latest version of Background Manager now supports category options for custom taxonomies.

If not, could you give a pointer on how I could load an image set for a specific category overview page (maybe via the theme)?
I can set it manually for the posts under the custom taxonomy but not for the overview/category/archive pages.

    Thanks!
