I’ve been using this plugin with no problems for a very long time. My client decided to try and be a designer. They logged in and clicked on “completely refresh videos” button under the “video posts” section of the plugin.

Ever since then the plugin has crumbled. To try and rectify the problem I did the following.

    1. Attempted to import videos (unsuccessful)
    2. Attempted to delete all video posts and associated thumbnails and then import videos (unsuccessful)
    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled plugin. Wiped everything with the options the plugins offered and imported videos (unsuncessful)
    4. when into PHPadmin > wp_options > tern_wp_youtube and changed the “is_importing” value from s:10:”8a4f0f89cc” to s:1:”0″ THIS WAS PARTLY SUCCESSFUL.

Every time I now import videos it uploads on around the first 50 and then stops. After than, when I click import videos it says the “currently importing videos” pop up message. If I repeat step 4 it duplicates the posts.

    Very confusing stuff.

My theory is that somewhere in the database is a clog up of all old uploads. Does anybody know where to manually go in and wipe the whole thing clean to start this process again??? If I am not going in the right direction please say.

    Thanks for your time.

  • Hey you may want to try this, I know I am not an expert but you can give it a try.
Delete all the posts manually then under the dashboard -> youtube posts -> reset settings->reset this plugin but keep the posts ( I know by now you will not have any posts) but it will reset the profile users names, etc, etc… so you may have to re-enter all this information as per your requirements. After that click save changes. If you observe its taking at least 30 to 40 secs for this update, that means your posts are being downloaded, if the page just refreshes in a second for this update, that means no posts and this tip dint work
I hope this helps and tell me how it goes

    Thanks for your response.

It did do that 30-40 secs for the update but only imported around 40 videos. My clients page has a whole load of videos to bring through.

I’ll keep trying and see if I can rectify it.

I forgot to mention that after the 40 seconds it said their was an internal error

Most this happens when a loop ist infinitive.

Try to deaktivate 50% of your videos on YouTube. Somtimes this mayby helps.

Thank you very much for your suggestion but I didn’t solve it using that method.

My client didn’t know how to deactivate their videos.

    SOLUTION: BACK UP YOUR WORK

The database I had on my local host was untouched and working perfectly.

I simply uploaded it and it worked perfectly. I guess this is a personal solution. If I didn’t have a backup who knows how many walls I would have put my head through.

Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
