     This is a great, great plugin, and before I upgraded to the latest versions of WordPress and AudioPlayer I had no problems at all.

     Now, though, after upgrading both, I am also having variable success. The player works fine on one post on one blog, and works fine on another post on another blog, but in different posts on both it will only insert a link, not the player.

     I cannot insert the player through Firefox at all. I inserted it through the interface once only in Safari. In the other case I inserted it manually, to no avail.

     Here are two things that may be relevant:

     1) the troublesome blog is a literary journal which goes live in February so all the posts are scheduled. I can view them only in preview and only from the admin login.

     2) the sound files in each case are different sizes. The one that works is 500 KB and the one that doesn't is 1.3 MB I can't see why that would matter, but it is the only difference I can find.

     If I can't find a workaround before the issue goes live I will have to install a different player but I really don't want to do that.

     All right. I've solved the issue. Don't know what was wrong, but after I deactivated the plugin, deleted the folder, and installed a new clean copy, it was working just fine.

     Perhaps there was some corruption in the original code.

     To whom it may concern: the audio player plugin can give a conflict if used in combination with viper's video quicktags. It results in an error message in Internet Explorer. More details can be found at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/228224?replies=6#post-946753, including the solution that must be applied by the author of audio player to fix this.

     I'm using WordPress 2.7 and the latest beta version of AudioPlayer. I've found that having the "Podcasting" plugin stops it working. If I have Podcasting enabled, Audio Player has two problems. Firstly it says it cannot find the file, and secondly, it ignores the colours I have set for it.

     I determined this by switching to the classic theme and disabling all my plugins, then systematically re-enabling all of my plugins one by one.

     Updated situation: Audio Player still does not work for me. I continue to get the endless "Buffering..." message on a four second mp3 file. I have tried on both Firefox 3.0.5 and IE7 with the latest Flash Player (10,0,12,36), but neither work.

     Furthermore, when I click on the "Audio Player" button from the Media Library, the Link URL shows up only for a fraction of a second before disappearing. Despite this problem, I can hit Control+Z in the Link URL field to bring back the URL, but upon clicking "Insert into Post", I get the following in my Editor:

     When I click play, I get directed to a 404 error because the hyperlink tries to follow ">p class=". If I manually type [audio:http://www.startupcafe.org/dev/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/test.mp3], I still end up with endless buffering.

     I am not familiar with Flash at all, so I wouldn't even know where to start looking for problems with the Audio Player, but I hope that my description can help sort this out.

     I am using WordPress 2.7 on the default theme with no other plugins active.

     Just installed 2.0 with WP 2.7. It posts the player just fine if I do it manually. However trying to add it with the media library by adding audio and clicking on the audio player link - it doesn't work. I am using FF3 as my browser.

     Basically if I click the audio player link, the text field goes blank.

     Same here... everything works fine manually with 2.0 and WP 2.7. Uploading with the media library doesn't work.

     I have a question... is there a way to use custom fields with this plug in? I want to be able use "audio" as a key and "myfile.mp3 as the value. I tried doing it but the code comes up instead of the player.

     Hi, thanks for the great work.

     I have found a slight bug. I'm using the stand alone player, and I noticed that 48000khz files don't play properly. I don't know if it's a problem with flash or the code, but if there's a solution, I'd love to sort this out. :)

     I use Blubrry for in-post media files, and would like to use AudioPlayer in my sidebar as a permanent player featuring latest media posted (podcasts & videos).

     Looking forward to use the standalone on my sidebar, I installed the plugin via FTP but WP 2.7 wasn't listing it in the plugins page. So I deleted the folder from my server, and then used ADD NEW in Plugins, uploaded the zip file.

     It says it's installed successfully, but won't show up either. Rather, I have this error on the top of the admin page now as well as my website:

     UPDATE: I've uninstalled audioplayer (deleted the folder), and I see it is conflicting with the featurific plugin.

     hi we need any INFO file with the download that tells us which version we are using.....is there a way to find out?

     i have swfobject thoughout my site already how can I use the version of the JS with this player that comes without swfobject?

     is it auto-detected?

     I'd love to see a correction for the same issue that @ingejanse is having.

     Running WPaudio-player in conjunction with Viper's Video Quicktags results in IE having problems with the swfobject, and outputting this message:

     Webpage Script Errors
     Message: 'J.parentNode' is null or not an object
     Line: 5
     Char: 1913
     Code: 0
     URI: http://devel.invisibleagent.com/wp-content/plugins/vipers-video-quicktags/resources/swfobject.js?ver=2.1

     As mentioned by ingejanse, the author of Viper's video quicktags has suggested that there is an issue with audio player not enqueing_script in the correct fashion.

     Hope this is an easy one to fix :)

     Same here! I can´t use the audioplayer wp-plugin if vvqt is enabled. IE returns the above mentioned error.

     Hope a fix will come soon...

     Hello!! Great plug in btw! Ok, just to clear some things with some, I used Firefox 3.0, IE 8, Opera and Safari and the player worked fine, well almost fine. The only problem is that there is endless buffering time. The song never loads basically.

     Hopefully you will read all this! Again, great plug in!

     I'm having trouble getting the player to work on internet explorer... it works on firefox.. but not IE. here's my site check the source code and tell me what i'm doing wrong... i already tried a bunch of stuff... thanks so much :)

     Hi Martin,

     I adore this player and recommend it to everyone I know who has streaming audio needs. I have had fun with the customizability and with version 1.2.3 was been able to scale it down to fit into the space allocated for the player on my websites. It looked just like a smaller version of the original. I just upgraded to the 2.O standalone version and was sad to see that it doesn't scale down proportionately as it did with the older version. Maybe I'm missing something?

     Here are two samples:

     Maybe there is something else that I've overlooked, but this new version didn't seem to fix the issue of multiple instances from playing at the same time. As much as I like the idea of the listener being able to create their own special mix, it can be kind of distracting to have multiple players going off at once. =)

     Also, I know I have way too many players on the page at http://www.acixmastering.com, but I didn't see any improvement on either of my two music sites after installing Flash player 10. The players still seem to get stuck in bufferingville. Any advice would be tremendously appreciated!

     Oh, and please excuse my archaic table/slice websites...I'm trying to become more of a css code monkey, but it really is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

     Turns out that the commas were making internet explorer not show my player. I was trying to add color, Martin, and what I did was this:

     Hello,

     I search solution how i can synchronize a couple of your players together.

     So second player start to play if first finished etc.
     Other words if sound of player is finished then next player (if exist) start automatically.

     I hope you will understand that I mean.

     Having delved a bit into the swfobject usage in audio-player, in relation to its conflict with Viper's Video Quicktags, it looks like it's going to be a bit complex to fix (from my point of view).

     In theory if the plugin enqueued the swfobject as a separate script to the audio-player.js, instead of combining it all into one, then Viper's Video Quicktags and Audio Player would probably get along fine.

     However, seeing as audio-player.js is compressed I haven't got a clue where to even begin with working out a fix.

     Any thoughts?!

     The player is not showing title or artist from the ID3 tags on my site. Everything is on the same domain and the mp3 files have valid ID3 tags. Any help?

     Nevermind I guess... I'm giving up on displaying the track title and artist info. It works if I put the info in the audio tag in wordpress, but never would pull it from ID3. I just disabled it entirely from the settings for now, but there does seem to be a bug or something there. I'm using the latest Flash player in FF3 and Safari on Mac OS X. Thanks for the player.

     Hi there,

     I've been using the player (2b6) quite successfully with IE7 but have only just realised that when I open the website with firefox (3.0.5 is the version im using) with the most current flash player the audio players come up but I cannot press play.

     Hovering the mouse does not change the color of the play button.

     I have tried downloading it again and reinstalling to no avail. Any ideas?

     I was assuming that wouldn't make any difference - I thought word press would only load a script once if the same script was already loaded, but with audio-player.js 'containing' the swfobject script, I thought WP wouldn't have any way of spotting that and would enqueue both scripts anyway. As a result the same conflict would remain?

     Maybe some of you have had this problem...I'm a newbie to this...

     The plugin is working superbly, the only thing I can get configured right is the download option...the player is up and streams the mp3 but there is not option to download, I've tried both just subscribing to the RSS (it says Download xxxxx.mp3 but no link) and I've tried with a dummy account being a subscriber and still nothing...what are the correct settings and what else needs to be configured or done by folks wanting to download the stuff I post?

     i'm trying to use the audioplug from 3 weeks now :( i'm going creazy with it... everythink is working fine exept with Internet explorer,

     IE dont display the player, i read 100 forum pages and 1000 times the 1pixelout infos ... but no way ...
