[Plugin: Artiss Social Bookmarks] Deactivating Artiss Social Bookmarks

I am not happy with how the Artiss Social Bookmarks plugin works on my site, see for example: http://iiij.org/i4j-munich-innovations-curse-or-blessing-for-the-labor-market-deutsche-welle/1060

Other social bookmark plugins do not work properly. Is Artiss standing in the way?

When I deactivate the Artiss Social Bookmarks plugin the pages stop loading correctly. Instead of the social bookmarks at the bottom I get a “fatal error” message and lose the background picture.

Please advise.
