Code Embed
Wild card search? (8 posts)

Is there any way for me to do a wildcard search to list all pages that I've used the Code Embed on?
You see, I eventually want to replace my Code Embed with your YouTube Embed and having hundreds of pages, having a wildcard search would certainly make things easier in finding and editing. And since I've used the YouTube video identifier as the part of the variable, there really isn't a systematic naming convention such as 1, 2, 3 etc

How complex a wildcard search would you need? Would a simple CODE* be sufficient, or would you require a mid-text wildcard as well?

The first things I tried were * and then *.* - damn old MD-DOS days :)
Simple wildcard of * would be terrific if that's easy to do, David.

That will be a lot easier to implement ;)

    easy to implement is good.

If anyone needs anything more elaborate, that can be managed later and scoped. I think a simple wildcard will certainly enhance functionality as well as minimal code burden on your good self.

Thanks so much for considering it too.

That's no problem - I'm always open to suggestions for changes and improvements :)

I was just wondering whether this made it into a development cycle at any point?
I'd love to tidy things up as well, now, move these scattered code embeds to a more centralized page/post.

    Hi Martin,

It's definitely on the list for the next release, along with a couple of bug fixes and a couple of other minor changes. I've not forgotten you ;)

    David.
