APC Object Cache Backend
[resolved] [closed] Fattal Error when activate APC with WP Super Cache (8 posts)

    I try to instal APC cache. After try to activate it a Fatal error show in my Word Press Dash Board:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wp_cache_add() (previously declared in /home/activose/public_html/mydomain.con/wp-includes/cache.php:24) in /home/hostusername/public_html/mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/apc/object-cache.php on line 35

    * Please pay attention in:
    "mydomain.com" and "hostuseername" are no my real domain and name. I change it for security purpose.

    It's not a normal plugin. Don't activate it! Read the installation instructions.

    Thanks for answer Mark.
    This happen like you comment because the plugin require special configuration in the server. After ask for my service provider, they don't allow use APC in shared hosting accounts. I must tu upgrade to VPS or Dedicated.

    Hi,

    I'm using this wordpress plugin on my website (high-trafic) and have a problem whith my widgets. When i make a change i can't see it... need to reset the cache to see them (!). What can i do to solve this pb ?

    If i use wp_cache_flush() in my "function widget($args, $instance)" all the cache seems to be refresh... is it normal ?

    Maybe WP_APC_KEY_SALT is an issue ? not sure how to define it; if i have to generate an unique key for each blog. I'm going to make a test.

    edit:
    So, it seems that WP_APC_KEY_SALT is only using to allow multiple install of wordpress on the same server but not to solve my pb...

    need help ... :)

    Shest, I suggest that open a new thread. Altough you comment about APC, the issue is different. Unfortunatelly, I have no use the plugin yet and I can not help you.
