Any Mobile Theme Switcher
Switcher seems to break themes (9 posts)

I'm trying to use the theme switcher on my site, but it seems to break the mobile theme.

    Settings:

    • ACTIVATED Desktop Theme (Glory)
    • Not Activated Mobile Responsive Theme (Akita)
    • In your plugin, all Mobile settings are pointing to Akita

    Results:

You'll see the correct activated desktop theme, the Glory Church theme, when you visit:
    http://cornerstoneofsheridan.org/wp/

The Akita Mobile theme does not retain its formatting and configurations that I set when I activated it. On the mobile version you should see the Cornerstone logo, limited menus, etc. The look and feel that I set inside WordPress returns of course when I activate the akita theme.

Any advice? Is there something in the theme itself I should look for?

Akita Theme can be found here: http://themeforest.net/item/akita-responsive-wordpress-theme/1530025?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=ThemeBlvd

I checked your site in both the platform, in desktop and iphone. The plugin is switching the theme well.

If you want, i can send you the snapshot as well.

strange... I don't have any caching plugins in the site. It is hosted by Godaddy... perhaps there's some caching going on there...

So yes, the akita theme is loading now... sortof, but the navigation is not what I configured when I activated the theme. There should only be 4 buttons, not a link to every page on the site. When I activate the akita theme again, I see just the 4 buttons along with all of my configurations. Does that make sense?

    Thanks Dinesh,

    :) john

Hi Dinesh, I replied, and attached the mobile theme files. If the attachment doesn't show, let me know. Thanks for your help. I will definitely donating to the plugin if I can get this to work.

I am having the same issue, once a theme is deactivated it does not keep its settings that I set when it was active.
Did you find the reason or fix?
