most plugins are, but I have no idea how this authentication to google analytics is being saved and where and how this would play cool with a vhost installation where all subblogs are subdomains of the main domain.

It hasn't been officially tested on a WordPress MU instance but you shouldn't anticipate any compatibility issues. The plugin simply stores a few items (API key/token) in the blogs' options table.
it works perfect with my main blog, now I jsut need to register a subblog with g-analytics and see if things get messy or remain consistent :-)

it works on all of my blogs, although you have to pick each site from the list manually after connecting each blog to GA. Still beautiful.
