   Super excited about the new version of AmR Users (3.0). Love the enhancements! However, I have a major issue:

   I upgraded to the new version, and now my lists come up empty.

   I had a pre-existing list. It continued to display (as populated) until I tried to edit the settings. I turned on the show CSV download on front side, etc. A lot of nice-names that were previously set to be excluded, somehow forgot their setting. I reset them to be excluded. The list started coming up empty. Rebuilding the cache does not help.

   I changed my number of lists from 1 to 2, and tried to create a new list to start over. The new list seems to be a copy of the old (much appreciated as it takes a while to edit all the settings). However, perhaps the setting that is preventing the list from populating also got copied?

   Any ideas? Thanks for such a great plugin!

   Also, one request: It would be awesome if the plugin allowed me to specify the name of the CSV file and where to put it on the server!

   Hi Doug,
   It is working fine on my installs with some reasonably complex user meta. There may be something unique about your data.

   The query mechanism was revamped to use wordpress query and it's meta query features to reduce the number of database queries - this could make for some complex queries.

   Best approach is 'process of elimination' debugging.

   Start with simple list that just displays all (no selection, inclusion r exclusion). Rebuild cache maybe in realtime to see if any messages.
   If that works, then slowly one by one, add in any selections etc.

   When one causes the list to be 'empty' let me know what is - what is the field, the plugin that creates that field and maybe a sample of the usermeta you are hoping to extract.

   If at all possible try switch WP_DEBUG on and run rebuild cache in realtime - there may be some useful messages.

   WORKAROUND:

   if a special criteria does break it, it may be possible to rather filter that value after the query. more later.

   Let me know how you go please.

   Same problem, now all of the non WP fields I've been using for a year are empty, though the data is still there when I view an individual user. 2,075 users registered on my site. Using WP 3.13

   The plugin that creates the meta data for my users is: Register Plus Redux.

   I have been using both plugins successfully for a year.

   We also have non-WP fields. Ours were created using a plugin called s2Member. They were used with the previous version of AmR Users for a long time with no issues.

   Hi,
   it seems eventhough I have to finish something else, my brain won't let this alone.

   I woke up this morning and thought
   "i wonder if they rebuilt their "nice names" ? "

   To get the logic to use the wp query to query the db (which turns out may be really challenging the wp query logic, but that is another thread), there was logic to remember in which meta record the requested field is hidden (or perhaps just is - depends on how data created). This memory was built up I think in the "nice names" logic.

   So give it a try and let me know - I'll have to add a prompt or action for that if that is what sorts it out.

   Oh and of course, make sure the cache is rebuilt.

    Notes:

    Minor Issue:
    In Main Settings, I keep check-marking the "Show refresh" option, and then updating, but it keeps coming back as unchecked.

    Major-ish Issue:
    In Main Settings, I have "Show csv link" checked, and the front end shows the CSV link at the bottom, but when I click it, I get taken to a "page not found" screen.

    Where there CSS changes? I have CSS of my own that looked great before the update, and now it has no effect. The front-end list looks the same whether I check or uncheck the "my css is fine" option.

    Regarding the major-ish issue above:

    It is a path problem.

    The plugin is outputting a "physical server" type path as though it was a "virtual server" URL type link. Here's what I mean.

    Here is what the physical path on the server would be:
    [drive letter:]/home3/cacliven/public_html/wvupciorg/wp-content/uploads/users_csv/user_list_1.csv

    Here is what the "domain based" URL type path would be:
    http://wvupci.org/ministers/wp-content/uploads/users_csv/user_list_1.csv

    Yet, here is the odd hybrid version the plugin outputs:
    http://wvupci.org/home3/cacliven/public_html/wvupciorg/wp-content/uploads/users_csv/user_list_1.csv

    I did a work around on the path problem, by manually adding a link button in the page, above the list, using a big "download button" button graphic, and setting the href= value to the needed URL.
    
    Also, in the "more great news" category, the problem of slashes being added, that always occurred before, is now gone with the front-end CSV option! Hooray!

    Thanks for the notes - will get on to them - maybe this weekend.

    yes - sending it to a file will get around servers with the magic quotes problem - I was/am just not keen on having private user data too publicly available and once it gets dumped to a file, it's available... so any way compromise was that if admin decides the list is public, then it is ok, so in those cases it goes to a file, otherwise is produced real time.
