I am putting together a wish list for version 2.2 of Next/Previous Post Link Plus. Here are the ideas I have so far; most of these are based on requests made by users of the plugin. If anyone has a request that is not listed here, please post a description in this thread. I will put as many of them as I can into the next version.

    - The option to output first and last post links, in addition to next and previous.

    - An 'ex_posts' parameter to exclude individual post IDs from the next/previous links.

    - A 'tooltip' parameter to specify custom tooltip text.

    - Return the link as a PHP string when 'echo' is set to false (at present the function only returns true or false depending on whether a next link is found).

    - A possible ground-up rewrite of the 'ex_cats' functionality to address long-standing problems such as those reported here.

Did you edit your templates and insert the next_post_link_plus and previous_post_link_plus template tags in the place where you want the next and previous links to appear?

I would like the %title to be usable in the format section

This way if I set my link to an image, I can have the post title separate...

I think the real problem I ran into was that if I wanted padding between the linked post title and my image (to look nice), I could only use nbsp, and those showed up with underlines where there were spaces (if there was a class or id, it would solve the problem as well)

I decided to just use plain text, and not hyperlinked, but I still think that %title would fit in the format section, along with author, date, etc.

    Great plugin!

    Matt

PS - Do you have anything that will cycle through category pages?
