How to exclude a term or unwanted character? (1 post)

Is it possible to exclude a search term/character string in AmazonFeed?

For one of my websites where "handbag" is the tag, some of the results show a very long string with the # character. This messes up my layout/content.

This problem is due to some vendors, for a reason only known to them, choosing to use this ultra-long string of #s ("pound" character) in the product description. An example: http://tinyurl.com/27frxlq (Please note: I've just shortened the original Amazon product URL, it's not an affiliate link)

So, in an attempt to exclude those #s, I tried this as the AmazonFeed tag/search string:
    handbag -#

    But it doesn't work...

    Any ideas? Thanks!
