[Plugin: Amazon Product In a Post Plugin] modify span.amazon-author to eliminate — how?

I have <hr> set in the CSS of the site — but it does not work well with the Book layouts. I would like to get rid of it by modifying span.amazon-author — but it doesn’t seem to work.

Any ideas?
