I really, really, really want/ed this to work. But I get nothing. I’ve tried the curl function, doing the quick add, manually adding it on a post, using the shortcode, etc. Nothing seems to work! I feel fairly confident I have my correct keys, etc. But the post is just blank. 🙁

I know I’m echoing some of the sentiments of others. Has anyone figured out a solution?

    Thanks and best wishes,
    Kristen

  • Kristen,
Most of the reasons the plugin show as blank, come from one thing – php settings. It is usually that the hosting company does not have CURL turned on, or the allow http requests for external domains turned on (sometime called fOpen settings). The plugin needs either one or the other to connect to Amazon’s API and get the data.

If you have a shared hosting account, search their help documents to see how to turn on one or the other (or call them) – most Hosting Providers have a way to turn them on for the account – and many have them both off by default unless you ask they be turned on.

    Best of luck.

    Hi Kristen,
I had the same problem like you at the beginning. It took me a couple of days to solve that problem. Actually that is a problem that comes from Amazon. Even after I signed up a new account with Amazon web services, it didn’t work. Then I searched and kept searching and found out that I have to go through this link:
    http://associates-amazon.s3.amazonaws.com/scratchpad/index.html
Make sure you go over and follow its introduction.

Then you need to login here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/flex/advertising/api/sign-in.html

After that everything works for me. Hope this can help you out too.
