[Plugin: All in One SEO Pack] Title tag for a separate posts page (6 posts)

    Hello,

My site is set up with the blog posts page on another page, with my homepage being set as a static page. I can't figure out how to set the blog posts page to have a different title. They both have the same title tag. Is it possible to have different titles between the homepage and the blog posts page?

I'm having the same problem. I've exhausted the troubleshooting from enabling/disabling all plugins one by one, reviewing the sql database, reviewing the page level AIOSEO data, messed with the title tag in header.php, etc and it is still duplicating when I use static home page and posts page.

    Frustrating!

    Can anybody help? :)

I just had an email conversation with Michael, one of the people supporting the plugin.

    Here is his response:

"At the moment, the plugin doesn't distinguish between the "static home page" and "blog page" settings. I would encourage you to have your "blog page" the same way I do. Just make all of your blog posts in a category called "blog". Then the blog link on your nav bar can just link to the category listing for blog. The category description will then be used for the description field in the head section."

    A valid solution! :)

I asked how much it would take to build that compatibility into the plugin...he said it's a pretty big project so we'll see what the range of time/donation required to help him do that. I'll post his answer here. This is an amazing plugin, well worth the donation - I think!

Has anyone found a resolution for this?

I am happy to donate to this otherwise... anyone care to help?

Well, I've been messing with this same problem for about an hour before I saw this post. I suppose it hasn't been resolved, and I should forget about it?
