[resolved] Description and keywords not found metatags when I look at Page Source (5 posts)

    I have Title, Description and Keywords fields for the Home page filled in on the SETTINGS page of All in One SEO plugin. But when I look at the source code for that page, the only metatag I see at the top is the title. The Description and keywords metatags are not at the top. The page is http://www.stoneimpressions.com

    There is a section within the Source code on that page that looks like this:

    <!-- All in One SEO Pack 1.6.15.2 by Michael Torbert of Semper Fi Web Designob_start_detected [93,116] -->
    <meta name="description" content="StoneImpressions tile can be used for kitchen tile backsplash designs, tile flooring, and bathroom tile. View the Tile Gallery to view kitchen tile photos!" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="kitchen tile, kitchen backsplash, tile gallery, bathroom floor tile, motifs, murals, flooring tile, accents,listellos,natural stone tile,kitchen backsplashes, unique bathroom tile, floor and wall d├ęcor." />
    <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.stoneimpressions.com/" />
    <!-- /all in one seo pack -->

    The same thing happens on a regular page I am testing out (http://www.stoneimpressions.com/products/pattern-tile-collection/) I have filled in Title, Description and keywords in the AIOSEO boxes for that page, but they don't show up at the top. But they show later in the page with the "all in one seo pack" tags around it.

    I did add <?php wp_head(); ? to the heading of our theme before the </head> tag.

    The theme we are using is Spacing.

    Thats not a problem. You just need those tags to be printed on header and its doesn't actually matter whether it stays at top or bottom for better seo.

    Moreover it is seen that your keywords and description tags are printed twice on the header. Check out the source of your homepage and try to remove the duplicate tags...

    Please bear with me as I am a little bit of a doofus on this stuff.

    So what you are saying is that the description and keyword metatags found in between those "All in One SEO Pack" tags, ARE the right ones? As long as they are above the </head> tag we are cool?

    The duplicate tags you saw were because I had <?php wp_head(); ? entered twice in my theme header. I fixed that so I think all is good.

    I also took out this: <meta name="description" content="" /> from my theme's header because it was just sitting there blank at the top of the page I didn't think I should have that blank one PLUS the AIOSEO one on the same page. I hoping that was right.

    Thank you so much for your help.

    I have check again and it seems fine now.

    For better seo ranking, you should try putting some relevant content on your home page. Also consider google quality guide lines as standard practice...

    Additionally, your responsive theme seems doesn't play well with smartphone for width 320
