Having upgraded to 3.3, I then ran the update for All in One SEO and it just hung at the update screen for 3 hours. I clicked on dashboard and the site was left in maintenance mode. I couldn't access anything on the dashboard. Had to restore from backup.

It looks like WordPress hiccuped. Try upgrading again. It should only take a few seconds.
