   The All in One SEO plugin used to be my go-to recommendation, but of late its incorporated some squirrely, deactivate if not updated "feature". The author has stated this is a good intention, but honestly it seems to have utterly broken the plugin for many sites (mine and others). It now deactivates on a whim, updated or not and even occasionally looses settings.

   It was a good run as favorite, but sadly it is time to look elsewhere for SEO plugins.

   All in One SEO Pack doesn't deactivate if it's not updated, and there is no way it can deactivate on a whim, and can not lose its settings. Settings are stored and accessed the same as every other plugin does it. Of the hundreds of thousands of users, I've never heard anyone else talk about things like this.
   Do you have any specific information about what's happening?
