Subscribing. Would love this, especially with an approval/editing level in the middle so that incorrect or poorly formatted data can be corrected before importing. Hooray!
Subscribing, also waiting for the submission tutorial. Thank you for your nice plugin. I love it. π
I am ready to read it – been up all night trying to find something like this…..
do you have have the answer?
For all those still waiting, there should be a way to achieve this with TDO Mini forms – see this conversation: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-tdo-mini-forms-integration-user-submitted-event?replies=11
I haven’t tried it yet, but will in the coming weeks. Good thing is that its free.
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part….
Me wants PPLLLLEEEAAASSSEEE
Wouldn’t the easiest solution be to change the app, so that you don’t need event contributor rights to submit an event? I also need it set so that everyone can see the publish event button
I was just able to get this working by using the Gravity Form plugin ‘Gravity Forms + Custom Post Types’ following this tutorial:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/adding-user-submitted-content-in-custom-post-types-with-gravity-forms/
You have to recreate the Event form in a ‘Post’ Gravity form and tell it to create an ‘Event’ instead of a Post.
It wasn’t a quick solution but it did add the event to the calendar.
hi, we are currently planning a feature that will let users submit events with moderation. Depending on complexity, it can be expected either at the end of June or July.
Thank you! I will wait then, rather than customizing gravity.
Can I request that you also add the ability to put the submission form on a page, instead of redirecting to the admin panel?
We’ll take that into consideration, lifefanatic.
Beautiful!
It would be amazing if readers could submit events with-out being registered users — is that what’s planned?
I think a submission form on a page for the creation of an event which can then be accepted after moderation would be absolutely fantastic!
I also look for a calendar with an event submission form without the need for the user to be registered. It just should work like a form. And that form should submit the events directly into the calendar. Of course with approval-function.
