All-in-One Event Calendar
Remove Instance IDs Entirely (2 posts)

    Hi everyone,

    The problem is that I redirect about 1/3 of all our events using a temporary 301 redirect. Unfortunately, the instance IDs add an unnecessary number to the end of my redirect URL that effectively disable the link.

    Example: 1. http://.../ai1ec_event/event-blah-blah/?instance_id=153 is redirected to http://www.google.com/index.html BUT the calendar turns it into:
    http://www.google.com/index.html153

    Is there a way to either (1) remove instance IDs altogether or (2) effectively redirect links from the calendar?

    Thanks!

    Hi jplun,

    You can use this code in the begining of your event-single.php file:

    <?php
    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("Location: http://www.google.com/index.html");
    exit;
    ?>

    but this is permanently redirecting all of the events.

    Can you tell me what exactly you want to do?
    Do you want to use permanently redirect 301 or temporary redirect 307?
    How do you do this now? With the plugin or maybe by mod_rewrite?

    Regards
