• Hi,

I am using the Salutation theme with buddypress and I have added your calendar plugin to the website and the calendar page and events admin is awesome.

The only problem I have is when you go to view the event details the event information is in the main body of the page, the sidebar, the footer, and in the sign in static content block and it makes it look odd.

    Link to event details page:

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?
    Thanks

  • I visited the URL above but it doesn’t show anything of what you described?

Ahh sorry about that, I commented out everything in the view/event-single.php so that we could show it to the client.

I have re-enabled it now so the link shows the events information in the sidebar and footer.

    Thanks for having a look

Apologies for putting the link into the sentence, I didn’t notice that there was a /link button after you click link.

It may have to do with applying the_content filter to the content outputted in footer and sidebar. If so, outputting the content without applying the filter should solve the issue.

    Hi,

using the same theme, having the same problem – check it out here:
    http://sciencecomm.net/ai1ec_event/ecsite-annual-conference-2012-space-and-time-unlimited/

I tried adding a jquery selector with #Middle as the main content is wrapped in <div id="Middle">, but that also did not help…

    Ideas?

Afraid without having access to the theme code, its hard to tell exactly what might be happening – but I believe it would be similar to as Yani mentioned. It would be best to see if the theme author would be able to help give a look and if Yani’s guess is accurate.

This issue is related to the theme using a new and unique method for delivering content (if I remember correctly), they have a few posts about it on there forums but nothing I tried helped.

In the end I used CSS to hide the offending items, I expect there is a solution that will fix it properly but I never had the time to look into it properly.

Below is a link to a post on there forum which has links to the many posts on the subject:

    And the link?
