    After uploading new update I cannot change the widget-colors anymore. When i change the colors in css general the widget-colors stay the default color blue.
    Where should I now change these colors?

    Hi HermanBos,

    Try changing the style.css file within wp-content > themes-ai1ec > vortex.

    We recommend making any changes within a child theme, so that your changes are not overwritten during updates:

    If you need the specific code, please provide the link to your site and let me know which part you want to change.

    Hi Ricard,
    Thank you for your fast answer.
    On my host file: /www/wp-content/themes-ai1ec/vortex/css/general.css
    I changed the default color #8ba5c0 into #00A000 (green):

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view h3.ai1ec-date-title {
    border: 2px solid #00A000;..........

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-month {
    text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25);
    background: #00A000;..........

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-year {
    color: #ffffff;
    background: #00A000;.........

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-event.ai1ec-allday a {
    background: #00A000;..........

    Before update the colors in the widget became green, after update the general.css was not changed but I have the default color blue again.

    The website is http://www.rhmbos.nl
    I want to change the colors of the calendar-icon (of coming events)from blue into green.

    Now the general.css file doesnot do what he should do...

    So how to solve this?

    To change the colors of the calendar-icon in the upcoming events widget, edit the style.css file in wp-content/themes-ai1ec/vortex

    and add:

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-month {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 INSERT YOUR COLOR HERE;
    }

    As mentioned previously, we recommend making any changes within a child theme, so that your changes are not overwritten during updates:

    I add in file www/wp-content/themes-ai1ec/vortex/css/general.css

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-month {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #00A000; }

    However after uploading nothing has changed. No green color... Even after emtying cache. Even with other browser.
    What to do now?
    First I want to change this and then I want to follow your advise on childthemes (i don't understand that not yet..)

    Hi HermanBos,

    The file you need to edit is style.css NOT general.css. Please make the above changes to style.css and let me know if that works.

    Hi Richard,
    When I copy your code in style.css it didn't work either
    But...after copying the codes which I gave before(see post 3, from general.css) in style.css it WORKS
    Thank you very much for your help. Now I will study the child-theme solution.
    Still strange that before updating this was not necessary.

    Hi HermanBos,

    Glad to hear that it worked when using the style.css file. Also, just a heads up with the child theme - there seems to be a bug with the gamma theme, so when creating a child theme copy the Vortex theme, NOT the gamma theme. We will try to fix the gamma theme for the next release.

    Thanks.
