I'm delighted at the functionality in SidePosts (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sideposts/) of being able to add the content of entire posts to sidebars, and such.
However, I found a problem... If i use SidePosts on my blog's homepage (a static page), the posts I show on the homepage don't show up on the "Posts Page" (being an archive page) even though I'm not using SidePosts in a widget on that page.
