After installing Akismet 2.5.0, the author name in the comments tables is 14px.
Why is this? It doesn't look better.

Posted 1 year ago #Yeah, 14px looks bad and the longer names will be cut off.
Why don't you style "Flagged as spam by Akismet" like "| In reply to someone" - next to the comment date, with the same "|" separator and without the grayish span. And, of course, drop .author strong font-size to 11px (as the default size is).
Will be much better if you ask me. :)

Posted 1 year ago #The 14px style for the commenter's name looks awful IMO. I really hope this gets reconsidered.
Having a "Cleared by Akismet" link on each comment isn't particularly helpful either. We know they've been cleared by Akismet - that's why we can see them. It would be far more helpful to keep "Flagged as spam by Akismet" on messages that get filtered, and leave the rest alone.
That said, ones that are flagged as spam get put into the spam bin anyway, so I don't know why any kind of badging is necessary. It's needless clutter. Did some UI designer have a bit too much time on his/her hands?

Posted 1 year ago #I guess "Flagged by Akismet" is needed for you to distinguish which comments are marked as spam by you, and those flagged by Akismet.

If we have to "guess" why "Flagged by Akismet" is needed, it doesn't really make it any clearer does it?

Posted 1 year ago #The 'Flagged by Akismet' item came about because many people were inaccurately indicating that Akismet had flagged a comment as spam.
