   I am really trying hard to find a way to hide unwanted elements from the remote website, or just to include 1 element I want.

   I get the impression that the hide elements field only does so for the local website/template, and not the external website.

   Any ideas?

   you mean stuff you include in an iframe?

   I managed to achieve this using php get file contents and ended up writing a plugin of my own! If anyone gets stuck, check out my plugin.
