[resolved] Find field group post ID from name? (2 posts)

This has been a terrific plug-in so far. I was even able to figure out how to do a version of parent/child select lists without losing *all* my hair. :) Thanks for putting it together.

Is there an easy way to take the name of a field group and find the associated post ID so that I can look up what advanced custom fields are on that named group? For example, I have defined a set of fields for the post's related web site, title, subtitle and image. Going from the name "Related Information" how can I get to the list of fields post ID = 4? Ultimately I am trying to put together a custom field search page that lists options based on the custom fields on the post rather than a single generic search box.

    Hi theicemage

I believe the is a function called get_page_by_title
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_page_by_title

You could use this to find the ID of the ACF post_type object.

    Good luck!
