I downloaded the Advanced Code Editor from wordpress.org, copied files to the content-plugins directory, then activated the plugin. Then when I went to Appearance-Editor, the php files were still listed to the right, but when I clicked on them there was a quick flash of content and then the content window was blank. When I deactivated the plugin, the appearance editor returned back to normal. I'm working on a new blog that is not live yet.

It's possible you could just have a plugin conflict. The Advanced Code Editor seems to be working okay for me while using Firefox on WP 3.3.1, but I didn't test it any further than that.

    Some things to try:

    - Deactivate any other plugins you might be using and see if the Advanced Code Editor behaves any differently. You may want to also test it while using a different theme (as unlikely as it might seem), just to rule that possibility out.

-You might also want to check and see if the behavior is any different while using another browser. (IE, FF, Safari, Chrome, etc...)

can't say that i can replicate this issue and as far as i can tell it's probably another plugin conflicting.

try deactivating your other plugins one by one and once you see it working you'll know which one.

If you'd like to reply with it's name I'll try and see what can be done.
