• I realised the comment box shows at the bottom of all my single post pages although for some of them, I turned off comments.

I desactivated all the plugins. Result, the problem was not occuring anymore.
When reactivating the plugins one by one, I found out that it’s Advanced Access Manager causing the problem.

Do you have a solution to that ?

  • Hi fran330,
This depends on how your theme renders comment block on page. I’m following the WordPress standard. AAM uses filter ‘comments_open’ to check if commenting allowed or not for current post or page.
Make sure that your theme checks this before, actually, print the comment block.

I guess my theme does the same since it works on my site except when AMM is activated.
I made my theme with ThemeFrame. As I’m not very good with coding, I’ll ask the ThemeFrame people if a ThemeFrame theme checks what you said.

I’ll post here if I get interesting info.
Thanks for your quick reply, Vasyl

    Hi,

I am having the exact same problem, deactivated AAM and all is ok again. I am using the Presswork theme. Comments are switched off for all my pages, this worked perfectly before the AAM upgrade, and now works perfectly since I deactivated AAM.

If anyone else has a solution for this (apart from deactivating the plugin), I would love to hear it!

    Cheers,
    Sam

    Hi Sam,
I’m working on it. Probably there is a problem with upgrade hook.
I’ll try to include the fix in release 1.6.5.2 this Sunday.

    Vasyl

Thanks for the fast response Vasyl!

Oh Good! I’m glad with your new replies, Vasyl, because the ThemeFrame people (ThemeFrame being my tool for building themes) haven’t answered my question about this… In a way I prefer that the problem be on the AAM side, it makes my life more simple hehe.
I hope you’ll find the bug and be able to fix it.

I too thank you for your attention and replies (and for your great plugin, of course 🙂 )

    Hi guys,
The fix has just been implemented. In few hours I’ll post the update.
    Appreciate your feedback.
