  • I don’t think it is a bug. WordPress by default doesn’t give non-admin users access to the menu customization page. As far as I understand, Adminimize can only restrict WordPress’s access rights, but not extend them.

    If I’m wrong, I hope someone can point me out.

    It gives two solutions for the issue:
    1. Add some code to your theme’s functions.php file (or add it as a plugin)
    2. Use a plugin like White Label CMS (or a more specific user role editor) to give the editor role access to the specific menu item.

    Yes, Adminimize can not change the capabilities, only hide items, areas.
    But if you will change the capability of a role, then use the plugin Members.
