[Plugin: Admin SSL] redirecting pages with wordpress in another folder (3 posts)

    My site is setup at the root http://www.myblog.com with wordpress in its own folder, http://www.myblog.com/wordpress.

    When Admin SSL is off, going to http://myblog.com/about will redirect to http://www.myblog.com/about/ and work fine. With it on, it instead redirects to http://www.myblog.com/wordpress/ - not good.

    While Admin SSL works fine for the admin login, as it should, it's preventing me from using SSL on other pages of the site. Same problem, going to https://www.myblog.com/mysecurepage will send me to http://www.myblog.com/wordpress/ - insecure.

    This is with the 1.2.1 release version.

    @nyoungman

    I have been aware of this for some time - there used to be a known issue on the Admin SSL website concerning it. Somehow it got deleted, I've put it back up.

    I have tried many times to get this to work, but have given up - the hack to bypass WordPress's canonical redirects was getting hideous.

    So I'm sorry about that - for the foreseeable future I can't see this feature being added to Admin SSL. To be honest, I think it needs to be implemented in the WordPress core, in the canonical redirect script.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I can understand that, it certainly would be good to have all the redirecting in core.
