Site still accesses map.media6degrees.com after plugin deletion (4 posts)

As mentioned in this thread, the AddToAny plugins have the evil spyware habit of sending visitor information to map.media6degrees.com. This causes slow load times on my site; I often see "waiting for map.media6degrees.com". I tried the Additional Options trick described in the thread above to disable this behavior, but it doesn't seem to work with AddToAny Subscribe. So I've deleted the plugin.

And yet, when I access my site, I still see it waiting for map.media6degrees.com. I've emptied the W3TotalCache cache. There's no mention of this site when I view page source. I don't have AddToAny Share installed. I'm mystified. Anyone have any ideas where this access could be coming from?

    Thanks,
    Graham

Just discovered this myself just now.
I used to have AddToAny, but deleted it, but the same as you - I see that "waiting for map.media6degrees.com"

There must be either something left over which didn't delete or there's another plugin that has this same spyware.
Might have to disable each plugin to find it...

Update. Found it. It's from Sexybookmarks by Sharaholic:

Thanks dude, that's it all right. The fix is to turn off "Track Performance" in the SexyBookmarks options.
