The name of the class broke my theme.
a2a_kit addtoany_list
I had to add an underscore between kit and addtoany.
a2a_kit_addtoany_list
So, in add-to-any.php there are two instances of:
a2a_kit addtoany_list
Change both to:
a2a_kit_addtoany_list
That fixed it for me.
I had to clear my Super Cache half-cached page to see that it worked.
The fix doesn’t work for me. Changed both “a2a_kit addtoany_list” in “add-to-any.php” to “a2a_kit_addtoany_list”. Then emptied caches, etc. The location is still misplaced.
I want the button to be int he same like as the other meta data in the header, behind the “|Β² where it was before today π
For example here:

Sorry about that. There was indeed a major change to the plugin’s CSS code which is the likely cause of the button’s changed coordinates. It wasn’t intentional so I’m going to see if there’s a way to get it back to where it was without sacrificing new/upcoming functionality.
Do NOT implement TomUsher’s suggestion above. Tom definitely means well, but the class-names are meant to be a2a_kit addtoany_list
in the update. π
I’ll reverse the change asap. Thansk for the heads up π
@easternblot did you mark this as resolved? If so, was your resolution reverting back to the older version, or was it something else?
Haven’t marked it as resolved, because I haven’t had a chance to look at it again, but will do so on Sunday (when our traffic is lowest)
Huh, maybe it was I who accidentally marked this topic as resolved. I’ll mark it as “unresolved” again, and I’ll post back after I look into this some more.
Todays update still msipalces the button on my site witht eh original settings. Maybe you can give a hint on how to avoid that?
Thanks in advance
Michael
For example here or here:

I had a text only button. After this recent upgrade, there there is a line break before and after the button. I don’t want it. How do I get this fixed? Thank you.
Just had a chance to upgrade to the new-new one (9.6.6.7 from 9.6.6.6) and now it looks better again! Yay =)
It is still not resolved here π Should I meake a new post?
Just wanted to reply this here aswell.
Thanks for the Info. I don’t want to mess around with css atm, if I have to change it back soon ™, I’ll just sit tight and wait for the update.
Thanks for the reply
Concerning Version .9.9.6.9:
I tried de-selecting “Use CSS stylesheet” in the “Advanced Options” on the Settings page. It didn’t help. The only thing that works for me now is deleting addtoany.min.css in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/add-to-any/.
My problem is definitely greatly to do with my homemade theme. It started life as an old-fashioned, also homemade, table layout. I manually converted to div layout. I really struggled with it because I was learning css during the process.
Sooner or later, I’ll have to start over from scratch because several plugins have broken my theme in the same way. Some are too extensive simply to opt out of using the plugin’s css.
In case it will help anyone who’s searching for answers (workarounds…), this is also cross-posted at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-addtoany-sharebookmarkemail-button-unwanted-line-break-after-upgrade-of-add-to-any-plugin?
