Plugin "add" option not found (5 posts)

I'm watching a video tutorial, and it is showing how to install plugins through the site itself.

I'm apparently running the most recent version of word press, 3.2, but my plugin tab does not contain the "add" button.

Here is a link to what it should look like.

And here is mine, with no such "add" button option to search for plugins.

    What is up with that?

I'm not sure what that is or means, so I don't think so.

    Safe answer! :D

Are you logged in as the admin account?

Thanks for your helping on this topic.

Yes, I am the administrator, but somehow there are some "permissions" that are messed up on occassion I see them manifest. I had some other users formed, they were authors and contributors, then I deleted them and after that I could not update WordPress through it's internal mechanism, I have to do it manually by replacing all the files accept my custom themes and the Config.php file.

So, yes, I am the administrator, that is how I'm logged in, but somehow that account has proven at times to give me "you do not have privilages" to do this or that. I don't know how that came about, nor do I know how to correct it. I suppose it's something in the database, correct? Something with a table?
