    hello,

    in every WP-article where we also include images, the plugin always posts the html-code to the top of the FB-message.
    e.g.

    [caption id="attachment_410" align="alignleft" width="225" caption="bla bla"][/caption] here is the actual article-text...

    is there a was to avoid this?

    You could create a thumbnail to be used for each post shared, one that repreents your site that is square and 100px x 100px. Then add the meta tag required:
    <meta property="og:image" content="http://yourdomain/path/image.png" />

    One can also use php to get the featured image thumbnail, or an image per post, I would discuss with the plugin dev.

    You can find a better and easier solution here.

    So then?

    Just disable one or both of these plugin options on the admin tab:
    1.Do not execute shortcodes for texts
    2.Do not execute filters for texts

    But be sure to check if everything works and displays as usual, because some plugins are incompatible with this (especially some forum software).

    Why not just post that here?

    Because I like to keep all answers in one place, on the support forum, so that they are easy searchable.

    Another reason to use the support forum is that people too often publish sensitive information, like Facebook access tokens. On wordpress.org I cannot remove these on the support forum I can.

    Oh I see...I did not notice you were the plugin author, which you are? I always wondered why plugin authors are simply listed as members...
