Adding the following code to header.php
<link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" href="/%%PATH%%/opensearch.xml" title="%%TITLE%%">
will cue FireFox to activate the "blue light" on the search bar drop-down bar, and also cue IE to behave properly. Bottom line, both browsers will let user add the site as a permanent search bar. Recommend adding something like this in the install or FAQ section. To view, surf to:
