   I've tried uploading 2 plug-ins to my wp content/plugins folder, and neither of them show up on my plugins page. I just see Akismet and Hello Dolly, which came with my version of WordPress.

   Please help!

   Many plugins when you download them come in a folder like:
   newplugin.1.2.2
   and inside there is another folder
   newplugin (with a lot of files)
   This latter one is the folder you should upload to your folder!

   the trick is to read and follow the install directions:

   For cforms - contact form:
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cforms/installation/

   Upload plugin directory /contactforms/ to the wordpress /wp-content/plugins/ directory

   You can see that isnt what you have done.

   For the netflix plugin:
   http://www.albertbanks.com/wordpress-netflix-plugin/

   Upload the folder (netflix/) to your WordPress plugins directory inside of wp-content.

   Again, You can see that isnt what you have done.
