   I'm having trouble with my upgrade to 3.1.1. I was unsuccessful with a manual install, even after deactivating my plugins, so I figured I should delete them.

   I'm trying to remove two plug-ins, Social Media Widget and Wickett Twitter Widget.

   I've tried using the file manager at cPanel, WinSCP, and my WP dashboard. Those plugins just won't go away. I think it may be a permissions problem, but I evidently don't have permission to change the permissions.

   Suggestions?

   I deleted my cache and rebooted. Then I tried deleting the whole plugin folder. Akismet went away, but not those two widgets.

   Anybody?
