(Plug-in: Nextgen Gallery) subfolder issues (1 post)

I use nextgen all the time but now I have WordPress installed in a subfolder and it seems that nextgen can not find the gallery folder so I can't build a gallery.

Typically, I know that I create a "gallery" folder under the wp-content and set permissions to 777. This particular instance, WP is installed in a subfolder called "site". I went to the options tab of the gallery and changed the path from wp-content/gallery to site/wp-content/gallery then change permissions of gallery to 777. When I attempt to set up a usable gallery (via the admin area) I get the error: "Directory /site/wp-content/gallery/ didn't exist. Please create first the main gallery folder!"

I thought maybe it wanted the physical location so I tried public_html/site/wp-content/gallery but that didn't help either.

In desperation, I tried creating a folder under public_html called wp-content with a sub called gallery. First I chgmod 777 for gallery and then even tried 777 for wp-content with no luck. I changed the options back to the original and it still says the gallery doesn't exist.

I even reinstalled (and upgraded) nextgen to see if there might have been a bug and/or to reset everything back to original settings but still nothing.

This CAN'T be this hard. I'm obviously stuck on something simple but can't get my thoughts right to fix it.

Naturally, my customer is screaming for the stupid thing.
