Support » Requests and Feedback » Plug-in for uploading plug-ins?

  • Hi guys,

wouldn’t it be useful to be able to upload plug-ins directly via administration screen? I think, especially for new-comers the step of using ftp to upload a plug-in into the plug-in directory is quite annoying and error prone.

Joomla, for instance, has that: you simply upload an extension zip file via upload screen and installation is automatic – no ftp whatsoever. It would be simple to have the same in wordpress with a “plug-in upload” plug-in.

Does that exist already? If not, it might be a good idea to write that. Maybe I would find some time to do that.

    Greets,
    Igor
